Asa Loki, under glacier,
laughing as the lava flows —
worlds are large and people puny,
no one knows what Loki knows.
Restless Loki, bound by glacier
straining sleepless in his chains,
hurls up plumes of glass and poisons,
stranding people, downing planes.
Old mad Loki, fire and glacier,
longs for vengeance, wills an end,
gives a cheer for global warming:
Nature’s wild, and not your friend.
